Wildlife has significantly influenced the development of precious metals coins. The industry has recognised this by immortalising these beautiful creatures on gold and silver coins. GBA Group celebrates the diversity and uniqueness of the world through these coins, paying homage to its rich legacy.
GBA Group understands the importance of giving back, especially to nature, to continue to appreciate and protect Australia’s valuable ecosystem for future generations. That is why GBA Group proudly sponsors the Byron Bay Wildlife Hospital. Conceived and launched by vets Dr Stephen Van Mil and Dr Evan Kosack, Byron Bay Wildlife Hospital (BBWH) is Australia’s largest mobile wildlife hospital, a registered charity, and a not-for-profit company limited by guarantee.
The hospital operates from a full-sized, custom-built semi-trailer, affectionately named Matilda through a public naming competition. Matilda can be transported to the scene of natural disasters such as bushfires, floods, mass strandings, or oil spills affecting wildlife on a large scale. Members of the public and licensed wildlife carers can take injured, sick, and orphaned animals to the Byron Bay Wildlife Hospital for treatment and care.
