Can I just walk in?
For buying and selling bullion, absolutely — no booking needed during opening hours. Safety deposit box matters run by appointment, so book online or call 1300 884 883 first.
What ID do I need to bring?
For any transaction above $5,000, photo ID is required under Australian bullion market laws and regulations — so it’s smart to have it on you.
How can I pay — or get paid?
We work in cash and bank transfer only — whichever way the metal is moving.
Is there bullion vaulting on the Sunshine Coast?
Buderim focuses on safety deposit boxes rather than custodial vaulting. If you’d like GBA to hold metal for you, vaulting is offered at our other offices, and pool allocation lets you own metal with no storage at all.
What insurance do the boxes include?
Each Sunshine Coast box comes with $10,000 of complimentary insurance, and higher insurance plans are available for a fee if you need extra cover.
Can staff get into my box?
No — the dual-key system means a box only opens with your key and ours used together, and we never keep a copy of yours.
What fits in a safety deposit box?
Anything precious and portable — bullion, jewellery, cash, key documents, heirlooms, hard drives, crypto wallets, collections and medals.
How does pool allocation work?
You own precious metal in the pool with zero storage fees, and can convert your holding to physical bullion for a fee whenever you like.
What is Auctus Metal Portfolios?
Auctus is a professionally managed physical precious metals portfolio service available through Gold Bullion Australia, with a minimum buy-in of $250,000. Ask the Buderim team whether it suits your goals.
