Do I need to book before coming in?
Not for buying or selling bullion — walk-ins are welcome during opening hours. Safety deposit box matters are handled by appointment, so book online or phone 1300 754 602 first.
When will I be asked for ID?
For transactions above $5,000, photo ID is required under Australian bullion market laws and regulations — it’s worth bringing ID along whenever you visit.
What payment methods does the Miami store accept?
Cash and bank transfer only — the same applies whether you’re buying from us or being paid for metal you’ve sold.
Can anyone at GBA open my safety deposit box?
No. The boxes run on a dual-key system: opening one takes your key and ours at the same time, and we don’t keep a duplicate of yours — so your box stays sealed unless you’re present.
Is bullion stored with you insured?
Yes — our custodial vaulting facility is fully insured, and every safety deposit box includes $10,000 of complimentary insurance, with higher insurance plans available for a fee if you need more cover.
What if I don’t want to pay storage fees at all?
Pool allocation lets you own precious metals with no storage fees, and you can convert your holding into physical bullion for a fee whenever you choose.
Can I buy or sell without visiting the store?
Yes — phone or email the Miami team and we can trade on your behalf and secure the metal in your private vault, or you can order any time at goldbullionaustralia.com.au.
